Reproducers list

I like the ukc reproducers list but i would like to see them add a few things.Like how many pups were finished by someone other than the stud owner or dam owner and the different states the dogs were finished in.

In my opinion I could care less about who finishes the dogs.

What I want to see is out of the total # produced how many actually got permanently registered. U cannot enter a dog on puppy papers so it makes no sense to use total dogs produced when figuring reproducing percentages that are based on the amount of titled dogs.

You could have a dog that has produced 250 puppies total. But only have. Say 100 permanently registered. And say has 10 titled.

Using the same formula to figure each percentage:

Based on total produced reproduction percentage would be 4%.
Based on total permanently registered percentage would be 10%. Which would be much more accurate in my opinion.

the reproducers list is to easy to manipulate. if the owners or co owners are the only ones titling pups that should tell you the not legit. if your dog has a 100+ pups and you had to title them yourself
somethings wrong.

just because a dog doesn't have a bunch of nt ch pups doesn't prove he isn't a reproducer.

just get a few buddies to get on the msg board nd tell everyone how great your dog is. you will sell a few pups if people would really hunt with the parents it might be a totally different story as to what you read. its funny how some of these guys brag up there buddies dogs but they don't hunt one themselves or if they did get a pup its now forsale.

You mean there is someone out there that titled 100 of his own pups??? I'd sure like to know who that guy is!

I don't care who titled them. I care HOW they were titled. Was it done, honestly, or not?

What the TRL standing is, ALL depends on the answer to that question.

I see your point Christy but people may also not register a pup because it doesn't make a coondog which also would sway the percentages if you based it off dogs registered. I do believe they show how many pups and how many permantly registered don't they?

No Jim they didn't title all 100. I ment if your dog has 100 + pups and the ones you own are the only ones getting titled there may be a reason. They titled enough to get up on the reproducer list. taking 3-5 dogs to small hunts with 2 casts. then drawing out sometimes with 3 dogs in same cast. Not hard to figure out who won. when they draw all 4 together they don't even go to the woods.

I have hunted with some of them . 1 grnt they had would walk to other dogs trees with you. but they title there dogs and sell junk pups.

Reproducers List

I would like to see it broke down by breed every 3 years.

Say there were a total of 10,000 walkers born in 2013. Then in 2016 they could show the total born, number registered, titled and so on for 2013. Same for every breed.

Yes, Autumn, but what about people who sell to big game hunters?

I have sold quite a few through the years. Ya know what? Most of them don't register their dogs even if they keep the dog its whole life.

i think there is a good bit of number padding going on.I see guys posting dogs for sale out of their stud but not until they finish them out..Or they have 9 or 10 nt ch all finished at the same club with only 8 or 8 dogs drawn at a hunt.I know all you can do is win your cast but it just seems fishy.

That is a very good point! Where they are finished and by who means a lot.
