Both are top bloodlines and either will make top dogs for me the skuna river tend to be a more natural coon dog most are pretty straight and natural as far as trash and start pretty early now the wipeouts can be more wild at younger ages and also have aloof drive and heart !! Some can be trashy and trail a lot but when they sit they have the grease!!! And if you can hang in there with wipeouts they will make the. Rite kind!!!! Myself prefer the mouths on the skuna river better for me !!! You will like the effort you put into either one!!!

Skuna River

I like the Skuna River line myself.
I've got a 7 coming 8 year old direct son of Bark. I'm going to breed some good females to him over the next few months.
PKC CH UKC NTCH AKC GRNTCH Skuna River Doc.
He needs 2 wins to be GRNT in UKC.
One of the most accurate dogs you will walk behind.
He will be a Super Stakes & Performance sire for 2014.

Video of Doc when he was 1 1/2 years old.

THAT QUESTION IS A VERY TRICKY ONE B/C IT DEPENDS ON WHO/HOW THE HOUND IS TRAINED. BUT I PREFER WIPEOUT HOUNDS MYSELF. THEY WORK VERY WELL FOR WHERE I HUNT. BOTH LINES HAVE HAD THERE SHARE OF WINNERS.

I've owned both and I prefer the skuna river breeding for what I hunt in. If they got to go deep they did. And seem very accurate. And the wipeout dog I had would go nearly a mile it seemed to blow through the country to get treed. That's fine for a hunt to me BUT it wasn't ok for me because I mainly pleasure hunt. And all the coon he would go by just to get treed deep it seemed. He was mostly a straight line huntin dog. Nothing makes a guy more mad walking that far to a slick. He did have his share of coon though.

Both nice

Both nice, depends on what you want to do with it, pleasure or comp. they both will do fine in either. But all depends on individual dog and how you train it. But if you look at list of truck winners over the years more have wipeout in their name than Skuna.

He is both Skuna River Bark on top and Coma on bottom. I got best of both worlds in my opinion. Puppies are doing well to. He does a good job with having the coon by his self.

He will tree with other dogs if they are all on the same track, if not he is going to do his own thing. Out of five drops in a two hour hunt, he'll be by his self three to four times. He'll hold a lot of pressure for sure. The only time he is hunted with other dogs is when he is in a hunt or with a puppy and I haven't had a puppy with in a while. Just been concentrating on hunting by his self. Accurate? Well long story short, he become a UKC Grnitech with eight first place wins in less than a year's time at different clubs, got the HTX title in four hunt tests at different clubs, become a Nitech in six AKC hunts and is leading the 2013 Georgia state race in the AKC Sportmix Challenge. I'm not the one to brag about Pyro, I'm just telling it like it is. I never leave the woods unhappy. He is only five and when it's time for him to retire, it's going to be hard to replace him.

I love skuna river I have the dollar dog out of bark and a babes stylish banjo female he is the best all around hound I ever followed no such thing as a cold track they all smell the same to him runs with a loud bawl mouth trees with three dying locates that will make you shiver and turns it over to a chop he is done and 90 percent of the time he will have a coon will be alone most of the time he will not cover a dog that is already treed he will be alone with a coon somewhere unless they they cover him never need a lead minds better than most kids I have pups out of him out of three different females we hunt and they all have his traits they will be split a lot with a coon but I only breed him to coon treeing females he has around 85 pups on the ground with oldest being 15 or 16 mos old every single person that came and hunted with him bred their female he by no means walks on water but makes very few mistakes I hunt him 3 nights a week when the weather is not to hot one of his first crosses was on a wipeout Willie female and they turned out nice there are some nice young dogs out of that cross I have a female that is lightning fast from it I have some wipe out stock I intend on crossing on it for years to come you will have the best of both worlds.
I will show him or his pups to anyone that wants to see him go no excuses made.

Crossed Skuna River dry Marsh Bark on a Wipeout Moose female. She raised 1 pup and he came here natural. Would tree all the coon you wanted right by himself at 9 months but sadly those kind are hard to keep. He was killed hunting one night. Bark seems to cross well on anything anyhow. Going to bred another Wipeout female this week to him. I'm hoping for the same results.....
