Autumn Oaks

Today is the last day to get preregistered. Who all is going to be there? How many Grand Night Chamoion Redbones will be hunted at Autumn Oaks this year? I know that there are a lot of Gr Nt's that are capable of winning it all now. Who do we have to root for?

Bean, I probably won't ever forget Music. I was just wondering about this year. Many, many years ago (1997) when I first started and was bench showing, I took Gr Ch Outlaw Timber King up to the Top Ten Show at the very first UKC Extravaganza. I was just a wide-eyed newcomer. I showed against Alton Keyes, K.C.Churchhill and Lori Mills. It was something to remember. K.C. won the show with Jackhammer who was King's grandsire. I then got to spectate on a cast that Danny Biggert and Music were in. They put on quite a show. I will never forget it. Danny was my "hero" from then on. He gave me a goal or example to strive for. I wanted to be able to handle a dog like him.

Will there only be 7 Gr Nt Redbones there? I thought that there would be a bunch of them. Isn't anyone from "out west" coming? This is our big chance to show those walker guys that a Redbone can get-er-done.

2. Breanna

There is only 2 more weeks to get them ready now. Won't there be any Gr Nt's from Pennsylvania there? Surely Ben will be there? What about Toadie? Mr Dell are you bringing GD Red? Will Miss Piggy be there? How about Grizz? Oh my goodness, have all of the Gr Nt's been retired? AG, where is the "list"?

Four of those Gr Nt's won their cast last year in the first round on Fri night. Two of them made it into the top 16 on Saturday night. They have "experience" on their side. Maybe this year one of them will join Music as The Grand National Champion.

I thought that John John might come out of retirement for this. He and Shock were sure hard to beat. I wonder if Vegas has a line on this hunt? We need a phone number that we could call to place our bets. Instead of win/place/show, we could have overall/final four/top sixteen.

Last year Shock, Rocky, Ben and Rocker/Sam all won their first round. Shock and Rocker had a high enough score to move on to the Grand 16. Neither one moved on to the Final Four. Rocker had the highest score of the early rounds and was crowned National Grand Night Champion Redbone. It appears that all four of them plus 15 newcomers will be trying this year. Who will win it?

That's correct Danny....I went along on the semi final cast with Matt handling shock and he made a couple trees but we only scored on one coon and that was treed about a mile off by mojo on tap. If I remember right coon were scarce on all the semi final casts and they didn't even tree one on the final cast.....
