roads to close for comfort tonite!!!

made 5 drops tonite in the wind. first 2 dumps not a bark out of minn, trix, or drifty. next drop dogs hunted area out good and i got to moving around to hiway i didnt wanna get near and on the drive could see big arc on garmin. got downwind and could hear them screaming in cornfield. sure enough they treed maybe 20 yards off hiway in fenceline. grabbed dogs and tied to rotten fencline. coon was maybe 10ft up little mulberry which was wierd for such hot race and how wooded area is. coon wanted across road for some reason. took a pic of coon and it bailed out in direction the track came from. glad had dogs tied up!!!

next run dogs got out 500yd plus and minn and drifty just turned around and burned back towards me??? shortly after that trix struck and run hot track hard couple hundred and treed single rite off a windy minimum maintence road. my old dogs usually check eachother when hear the other one strike after so much hunting together but didnt happen. drifty is dumb as box of rocks so who knows there. walked drifty in for the hell of it and she had no clue. LOL.

after getting off trixers tree that was under a hundred yards from road seen had low front tire on the ranger so headed home the long way. couple miles down road got box blower rig and dumped dogs. they screamed couple hundred into field then angled back towards road. treed rite on fencline of one of my hunting buddies horse pasture. grabbed dogs and got the hell home!!! was a miracle didnt have any closer calls with all the road action.

heres a pic of the low single that baled out.

trix and single coon.

Roads....

... hate to even think of them.....

Glad you had no road problems though and a decent hunt! Love the coon in the mulberries. Our pet mutts... the lil treeing cur and our akcBnT have treed a litter in a mulberry about that height on the fenceline of our dog pen a few times this week. Kinda fun to have ours tree anything! lol... Gotta love mullberries...and BTW... they ae awful good mixed with blackraspberries in a PIE! WOW... I've never done a berry pie...but I did last week...YUM!
Have a Great weekend, HappyHunting! Heather
