I have a 1.5 yr old female walker. Good dog so far. When its time to breed her I want to know what stud to choose. I think that accuracy is what I want in a stud , walker bred dog. This traight I think is the most important to me (accuracy). Any advice out there on which walker bloodline is the most accurate or known for its accuracy.

i would try to find a stud dog that can accurately tree layups . that kind of dog might keep accuracy to your pups.a true layup dog is about as opposite of a slick treeing idiot as there is.imo it shows real brains .

nose + brains = track ability & accuracy.

Those traits are becoming a thing of the past in the Walker breed and all breeds for that matter.

Lines that have Hardwood Bozo in them such as Clover, Coma, Wipeout and House bred dogs/lines are know for their tracking ability and accuracy.
LOTS of advertised studs can and do produce slick treeing idiots. A LOT fewer produce accurate treedogs.

Check out Grch Grnitech Houses Nite Stalker! Steve Conger has him and a male out of his dual grand champion daughterout in Indiana. Stalker was and still has been the most accurate dog i've ever hunted with... period! Super loud too!

I am a blue tick man and I demand what u are looking for and I don't see it in walkers today but old rambler is about as accurate as they come he is in every sense a coondog but most from his line are late nite bubba is were it is gritty,accurate, fast,and easy on the eyes good luck with your search!

I think the real problem is in training. First thing most guys do is hang a coon or hide in a tree and brag about the kind of tree dog they've got. They don't understand they just ruined their dog. These hounds are supposed to learn to tree blind and with their nose. If we teach them to tree by sight first it will cripple their development. I train my pups to track first then tree second. This makes them more accurate. I only know this because I have ruined a few myself.

I believe accuracy is a bred in trait,most good young dogs, if started properly, don't know enough to lie, then people start messin them up....
Some young dogs are natural "liars",also a bred in trait,then people beat them into being kind of accurate, and then they think they got something....some will always be subject to being empty treedogs, but if they tree hard, a lot of people overlook the missing,and brag on what a trreeedog ol so an so is....jmo.

Dogs name is Harley. Not sure if you know Ronnie Cline but he can fill you in. Wes owns the dog. In South Jersey near Atco I believe. Harley is Hayes bred top and bottom.

you should go for a hunt with jasons diesel dog ,he will pass up those summertime coondawgs on slicks. and tree the coon, he will show you the meat and do it with style,i have a half sister to him and she is the most accurate dog ive had in 25 years of hunting.talk is cheap Jason will take you anytime and you will not be disappointed .real treedog ,good looks ,and it don't take him all nite to do it.and you wont hunt with a better guy ,good luck in your search.and I get my pups treein first,and don't have any trouble with slick treeing.its easy to be real accurate when they run all nite.good luck
