Micro SD card for Astro 320

Hey all, I bought the Astro 320 yesterday and I'm confused about the micro sd card. I've been doing a bit of googling to try to find answers but I'm more confused now. haha

First off does any ol sd card work with these things or does it have to be made for a Garmin? What is the largest size sd card I can use in my Astro? And lastly, there's only one slot for the sd card so if I wanted to use topo maps and birdseye, can I load them both onto one card and switch back and forth between the 2?

Thanks very much

.

Let's look at your options.
You basically have two different maps
Topo
Aerial

Topo comes in 100k and 24k

The 24 k is too busy for me but some love it

Aerial is Birdseye sat. Image

I would say most people run 100 k topo map and is happy with it. Shows roads creeks, rivers and lakes along with elevation changes. Hence topo line every 160 foot elevation change.
You can also add roads that may not be on your map

Little advice. Get a basic 100k topo card and spend more time learning how to use your astro and track your dog. Too many people get hung up with complicated mapping and get frustrated.

If they show up on google earth they more than likely will show up on the birdseye view.
