Hunting trips

If you were going to plan a trip to take your dogs and tree coons shoot them or not it don't matter just get away camp or stay in motel and hunt for 3 or 4 days where are some good areas. I want to plan a hunting trip this fall but really don't know what areas to start looking into just want to get away and hint some new areas. Thanks

What area of the country are you looking at? I have made two such trips, both 3 nights of hunting, both about 1500 miles apart and both were fantastic trips. Lotsa coons, almost unlimited hunting.

He's not lying. That is a great place to hunt. Plenty of timber and coon as long as the water isn't out. You can hunt for weeks in there and never touch it all. Water gets up in there so it keeps the underbrush under control. In November & December this is probably one of the best places in the country to hunt.

never coon hunted there but have made several trips duck hunting would love to coon hunt around Roe, Ark. Lots of woods, water, and food. The best place to hunt in the US to me would be North Dakota. If its not posted you can hunt it. No question asked.

Hunted the Refuge a few times . Both times were in the south unit . There were three of us with four hounds . In 3 nights we put 43 coon on the ground . All were singles . Friend was raised just outside of the refuge , we stayed at there old home place . Sold most if not all coons to a man from Gillet Ark for there yearly coon supper . Man I gotta get back over there .
