Sorry, let me try to be more clear. Start her where she can see the woods. I am assuming she has been ona tree before, she knows what the woods is all about. She just may not realize the woods are there. A good friend told me that we often need to think of a 1 year old as a young child, about 1st grade age. We have to make it a little more simple. Cut here about 20 feet from the woods, the following drop, at the next woods, drop her a little further back, and so on. Soon enough, you can dump her from the edge of the road, you will have trained here to get to the woods.
