I would like to see profiles on, Dirck & Carol Coons, Amenia NY; They have raised, shown and hunted dogs for years.
Here is 1 more, a profile on the Legend Max Poindexter from Mo.

I appreciate the interest. I've had several request from folks and I've been slow to get them done... Sorry about that. I don't want to leave people out and I hope to get around to doing many more as time permits. Everybody has a unique story to tell in my opinion.

I've learned a lot of things myself from talking to these people and it is something we can look back on and use for reference years down the road as a piece of B&T history.

All I'd have to do is ask one question and he'd take it from there and run for at least a couple hours.

Max is a great choice. And I would like to see one done on Bill Grimes. A lot of hounds out there with Grimes Hi Dollar line in them.

TIGER JUDKINS ( in Tenn. )

He bred to Ears to Hobo Hoss to produce Tige , he bred Ears to Two Time Albert to have Tenn Ragin Ranger & then he bred Jill to Ranger to produce Ox . But If Mark does a profile on ole Tiger , look out he will keep you on the phone (LOL) . I just hope one day I have the honor to meet him in person one day .

Carl Judkins

Charles I have talked to Carl several times about a profile and he doesn't want to do one. He only lives a few miles from me.

Ralph Ox was out of Ranger and Jill, not Ears. Jill was out of two time Albert and Juds Ears.

Tiger is an expert when it comes to breeding dogs. The best dog I've ever followed, was bred in his back yard.

I would like to see one on Kt they are very few in the black and tan breed that have bred raised trained and titled as many dogs as he has. I will be the first to admit he can rub you the wrong way in a hurry but there is a wealth of knowledge there and if you listen to him he's pretty sharp on crosses.

Yep your right Charles, I was pretty sure about Ranger but I just took the other off a Pedigree listing I seen.

heres a thought
mark make up a questionare
all you guys that want a interview done on a deserving person get a questionare from mark
then you go interview the folks you admire
send questionare back to mark and mark can proceed accordingly
mark cant get to everyone by hisself this will help him out . and you get some quality time with a person you respect and admire that is priceless

You know that's not a bad idea Jimmy. I have considered a standard line of questions to get a high number of people done in a short amount of time and your idea would accomplish that..

The only negative is a standard set of questions would not cover the unique circumstances around each person. But maybe those could be added in.

Kenneth Tavares has seen more champions come and go than most already, and is young enough still that his best dogs may be yet to come.

If there are any merit to these profiles, KT will have his place in the history book. JMO.

Also Robert Bertram....been producing winners and promoting the Licking River hounds since 1977.

How about Johnny Gilliam? He's a biggie in our breed. We have a great one on Bruce, I bet you Johnny could give you even more of the background on the Dark Hollow black and tan hounds.

There are many people with something worthwhile to share. Mark has been in this breed long enough to know who they all are. Obviously, they all can't be profiled at one time. Those that come later or don't get profiled may get their feelings hurt or get jealous but decisions have to be made on who gets done, when. Looks to me like Mark has done a good job in making those decisions.

I say leave him alone and let him keep doing these profiles. I would hate to see him aggravated to the point that he chucks the whole idea but I would understand if he did.

JMO.

Some more good ones would be Blaise Bauer-Kansas bred hounds, James Caudill-Dix River Hounds, Zandell Hasty- KY, Jim Kilburn- Rough Creek Hounds, Steven Gamble-Bad to the Bones Hounds. All the aforementioned were winning since I was born!!! Would be great reads.

I know for a fact that some of the names listed on here have been asked by Mark to do a profile. A couple of them declined, saying they didn't feel deserving of one. I promise, he's not intentionally leaving anyone out.

I think you're doing a fine job, Mark. Keep up the good work!

That is true. Several have declined and don't want any publicity at all.... and I honor that request and don't hassle them about it.

I'll continue to do them as long as I have time and as long as ABTCHA wants them done.

Thanks.
