Anybody hunting anything with Ridge Roamer up close in their pedigree? The most accurate dog i've ever had was a grandson of Roamer. I know Roamer was out of HillyBilly Mac, was there alot of similiarities in the hunting styles of these two dogs? All input appreciated.

got a GN female out of OLE MAC years ago, she was pretty quiet on ground,drifted a track, highly accurate, old granny was a coondog.

I hunted with Roamer one night on a cast. He got beat that night but you could definitely see how and why he won as much as he did. Really nice looking hound that night.

Ridge Roamer and his immediate offspring had a lot of what today's hounds do not have enough of.

BRAINS.

They are a good choice to improve your program. I hunted 3-4 young dogs out of him several years back. All very nice.
