I remember the day that I brought Jimmy home, and gave him to Butterbean, and Bruce as a weaned puppy. As all you ol` timer`s know, a young man can learn more, and faster about "Coon Hunting" while training his first real good coonhound, than any other way. Butterbean was not exactly a Rookie. When he was 13/14 y/old, he would jump out of the truck, and go to some of the widest hunting, no return treedogs, and shoot that coon out, then find his way back to the truck using his compass. He put alot of time in training lil` Jimmy. The pup was pretty much a natural, but Butters wanted him obedience trained as well. Nt.Ch. Jimmy was not only a COON DOG, he was the best handling, and well minding dog in the country. Butterbean, You have my heart felt sympathy.He will be hard to replace in your heart.

I would like to say Thank you to everyone for the kind words, Its amazing how close a man and his dog can get over a period of time. OL' JIMMY was my buddy but more like a son. He done everything i ever asked him to do and more, he was always out to please me. I will miss him very much especially when it's feeding time or going out to the kennel to get the dogs to go hunting. I had a talk with Butch the other night after i took Jimmy on his final walk,, I said Butch you told me how to coonhunt, and Jimmy showed me how to coonhunt. "WHAT A COMBO" LOL OL' JIMMY taught me a lot and im sure we will talk about him and things he done for the rest of our life's. RIP OL' JIMMY

Those are some good pictures , I love his rolled back ears. It's a trait I've seen a lot of the really good ones have. He sure looked like a good one to me.

I did get to haul Ol Jimmy around a bit for ya and It was an Honor to have him in my truck, I hope to get a piece of Jimmy.

Its amazing how much he looks like his daddy one thing for sure its pretty easy to spot that blood line.

Goods ones are few and far between, Ol Jimmy will be missed but with the puppy's he has sired, and the ones left to come he will be around for many years to come.

Larry, Thanks man, yeah you helped me out a lot when you took him to Nevergone for me that time and i will be forever thank full to you for that. Now for the Bone bloodline,, yeah man you can sure tell that blood when you see it. I have often said they might not be the best looking redbones in the country but i guarantee they are some of the quickest, accurate, hard hunting, smartest dogs i have ever fooled with. I remember When i got Jimmy from Dave whiteman, Joe Maitland picked up a littermate to him named SAGE and i am sad to say she passed away a few weeks ago, This blood has NEVER let me down, This blood taught me a lot thats for sure. Thanks, Larry

Thanks again !!! Everyone i am glad that the Good Lord above has given me the opportunity to meet such good friends while following OL' JIMMY. I think i have the GREATEST FRIENDS in the world and i truly mean that. I would also like to say Thank you for the phone calls and text over the past week it means so much. Oh Jeremy.... I just saw this post.So sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. It's so hard to lose one so special that you've had for so long. Mizzy, daughter to Jimmy (Miz Kitty) is doing well. The firey little booger is my favorite hound and I treasure her.Hope to breed her for the first time the next time she comes in. I had hoped to get some titles before we bred her but our circumstances in the last several months didn't allow for us to send her back to Josh to finish her. Any recommendations you have will be seriously considered. Would like to breed for something special and of course you'd be welcome to a pup. I'm sure you probably have sons and daughters of him stashed alot closer and plans for carrying on the blood but the offer stands anyway.How old was he and what finally killed him?
