Grand Rapid/Middleville

Any hunters in the Grand Rapids/ Middleville area of MI?
Wife's job may be taking us there. I noticed most of the clubs are about an hour away, but that's about what I have to travel now. Just wondering what it's like?

I'm about 1 1/2 hous NE of Grand rapids.
Good hunting.
About 5 clubs within an hour and a half of me.
Closest one about 25 minutes.

I'm originally from central Michigan about hour from Grand Rapids, If you get up that way you are in for a big surprise. The coon hunting there will surprise the heck out of you compared to Texas. Very good hunting and yes there are quite a few clubs near bye. Alot of good guys up that way to hunt with also.

oh, come on now! That just adds a little more excitement to the hunt while your waiting for the dogs to strike or tree. LOL So far I've only run across 3 rattlesnakes, 2 copperheads and 1 cotton mouth. Only one dog bit by a copperhead during a nitehunt.

Only!!!! I went hog hunting down around Laredo when I was Stationed at Ft. Hood. Ran over a 6' or better Rattler with a quad it just pissed him off. I would just as soon mess with a 300# Black Bear then those critters

Tony - was that on the Callaghan Ranch? There are some pastures on that ranch that are over run with big ones.

Not sure that was back in 1996 lots of scrub brush, lots of hogs, and lots of snakes, it was a week end bow hunt only.
