Same here,

I was feeding Black Gold in the black bag for a while. Then every time i went to go get feed, the price had gone up another dollar or two.The hunters began to stop buyin it.And the next thing ya know the guy I had been gettin it from dropped it.It's got so expensive,i had to quit buyin it.I will say though that I loved it while it lasted.Dog's looked really good, stool was hard and very little stool too.Wish I could afford to buy it by the pallett load.

I switched to Sportsmix a few years ago, it's afforadable, my dogs seem to do well on it, and I can get it at Tractor Supply.

I cant buy black gold around home. But i didnt think much of the sport mix when i fed it. My dogs looked terrible running them hard. Switched to diamond in off season and feed diamond extreme when im hunting hard. Just my opinion tho. Maybe i just had bad luck with sport mix but wont try it again. Heard lots of great stuff about black gold

I'm feeding sportmix wholesome couple dollars higher than the black bag but has no fillers (corn, wheat or soy) seems to be doing good. I'm not having to feed as much and my hound looks good

In that price range, Tuffy Gold and Tuffy Pro have outstanding foods. Made by the Nutrisource company in a very good plant, unlike Black Gold.

Black Gold is what I use and I like it pretty well. Feed store said they have come out with a couple of new formulas similar to Sportmix about 25.00 a bag. Something to look into.
