Post garmin warranty

I had my dog hit by a acr last night. I busted the screws off the mounting bracket and the transmitter flew off. The collar does not work. Will Garmin cover it? Of course I just bought it yesterday at setwd. No luck at all yesterday. Dog is alive will have to have a plate put in his jaw.

In VA the animal is responsible for any damages. So turning it in to her insurance won't ahppen. Plus this girl so so torn up and the fact that she took the time to get him out of the road and call me I could not aske her to.

I did call garmin and they said no help. so looks like saving for another new collar.

Broken Garmin

I will try contacting th dealer that you bought it from. I have worked in retail for over 28 years and alot of times manufactures will do things for their dealers before they we a retail customer. With that being said sometimes even if they won't help the dealer out the dealer could help you out to save you as their customer by selling you another one at their cost instead of full retail price. Which may not be a whole lot but $1's make $100's. I realy feel that Garmin shouldhave tried to help you. They have always seemed exceptionally well on repacing and repairing their products. Although they maybe looking at this different because it isn't a manufacture issue. I would think they would atleast offer to take a look at the colar and see what it would take to repair it rather then requiring you to pay full price for a new one. Sorry for your incident did this happen while you were hunting on a competetion hunt?
