I have been out of the coon hunting world for about 10 years. My 19 year old son is drawing me back in! The only problem is he is hunting Walker dogs. I have always hunted Black dogs in the past. I had a pretty good Black Dog I pushed for a while named Two Time Preacher. As you could figure out by the name he was out of Two Time Albert. Back then I could tell you every dog going, then it was Two Time Albert, Ace and Dark Hollow Hoss. I have no idea what is hot in the Black & Tan breed at this time.

Can someone tell me the breeding on some of these dogs who are currently winning?

1. Tn. Trip
2. Black Clip
3. Moonshine’s Tn. Smoker (I would assume
Moonshine but, who is he out of?)
4. Super Sport

If there is anything else out there that is worth taking a look at please tell me about them too. I am wanting to get back going and would like to find a good Super Stake sire to buy a puppy from. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

do you know david lawley?? i dont have his number but can get it when i go back home sunday..he had a young black and tan male that is independent and works a track as good as enyone would have to see if he still has it though...

Triple creek lock was a nice one. The best black dog I've seen is Nitech Bad Company's Riding Solo off Lock and Barkmans Moonlight Jazz . Nice one !!!

Eclispe had to be put down about a week ago. I own a puppy off of him. smart puppy, great looking, and has a mouth to be 12 weeks old. i havent showed him a coon yet. he seems like he is gonna be plenty willing to go with other dogs.

UGLYSTICK IN THIS COUNTRY REPRODUCES BLACK DOGS LIKE NO OTHER. WHEN THEY RUN A TRACK THEY RUN IT AND GET TREED JUST AS QUICK. GOOD TREEDOGS. I HAVE HUNTED WITH SEVERAL NICE YOUNG DOGS OFF THESE STRAIN OF BLACK AND TANS. DOESNT TAKE 3 YRS TO FIND OUT WHAT IT IS GOING TO BE.

Try some ugly dogs! Easy to train easy handeling! And one of the top reproducers going today if not the best at the moment! And people from many states have young dogs they would be willing to take you with.

I would check out Darrell Eads Big Slick dog . 2nd place finish ukc world hunt and maybe should have won! He definitely is a COON DOG. I am a walker man but would not mind owning a black dog out of Darrell's stock.
