My "Accident" pup **long write up
First, let me start by saying, im against culling dogs. We have a very well bred english female that is so skittish, you cant touch her. Before we got the chance to spay her, my best dog, a walker, bred her. Few months later, we had 8 BEAUTIFUL puppies. My original plan was to get rid of them immediatley, but that didnt happen. We got seven of them given away, and the last one, my personal favorite from the beginning was the last one left. After a week or two, i began to realize i may have something special in her. I got her spayed, because i don't feel like risking breeding her mothers skittishness back into future litters, and at the time, wasnt sure she'd be worth a ****.
Last night, i was going to get my walker dog to hit the timber, i started the truck and opened the box door, then got shaggy. Went to load him into the open door, and sure enough, that pup was sitting inside the box(she runs loose). Without having a collar on her, i was hesitant on taking her. But, she's very well mannered so i thought it couldnt hurt. She's 5 months old and hasnt seen a coon or drag or been hunting before. I cut shag, and she was right in there with him. Soon, he was struck, then soon after treed. I never heard her once. Shortly after, i found the coon, and was leading shag away from the tree, when she got struck on her own. Ilet her run a bit, and when she got to where she was really having trouble, i cut her daddy, shaggy in with her. Shortly later, he had it straitened out with her RIGHT beside him. Few seconds later, i hear those BIGGGG locates out of shag, and he was treed. Not only was he treed, SHE WAS TOO! Papa and daughter blew the top off this tree! had the meat. Went to new spot, and cut em! shag struck first, after some long silence, he was treed. The pup come running back through to us, but went past us. I figured the first dump was just pure luck, then she gets struck! SMOKIN this track across the frosty feild, gets to the tree line, and BAM. make it number two for her tonight! At five months old, this little female is doing it, getting split by herself. I truly think she could be quite the hound in years to come and am more than excited with my "accident" pup
