Den Trees and Hemlocks!

The temps hit 37 today HEAT WAVE! It also melted most of the snow meaning the coon should run. Weather has been bad and coon hadnt been moving in the cold and snow. I have four young dogs in various levels but tonite it was just me and Bluspeck.

Now I know what to expect this time of year so no suprise to tree so many dens. The snow was just covered with coon, fox and mink tracks! We ran just track after track and Blu had me working those hills and ravines!

First tree a big Hemlock on the edge of a ravine and just couldnt get the coon to look. Second and third trees were dens. Fourth tree another hemlock about 40 feet over the edge.

He looked once but just couldnt get him to peek a second time.

Next tree we had a coon on the outside but it was over the steepest ravine and I would have had to walk a half mile either way to get down in the ravine and I really didnt want the dog going over the edge if I dropped the coon out so we left him for seed.

Here you can see his eyes glowing.

Made a few more dens then our final tree was a hemlock and I got this ole boar in my scope. He was way up in the top.

All in all a good night! Coon wasnt rubbed and hide in good condition.
