We do get attached

It's amazing how we get attached to these hounds, sadly I lost one this weekend that has lived here for 10 years. I sold her as a puppy from a litter for $60 and got her back at about 8 months old for the same price. One of the better deals I have made. It took her a couple of months and she could tree a coon. I can walk to the first tree she ever treed on with her mother. She could look like a million dollars some nights and she could aggravate me to no end on others. LOL! She would do things to make you think she was a lot smarter than you were. Hunted her one night with a GrandNite/Platinun CH that would get deep. Found the GrNt dog about a mile in treed with a coon. Put her up and turned Lily loose and found her about mile and 1/2 treed with a coon. Just like I can out do that dog. Of course let it start thundering and lightning, she was at your feet!

Befittingly she is know buried between her grandpa and her mother.

R.I.P. Lily you will be missed.

It sure does stink...

2012 was a bad year for our kennel. We lost our all blue Bluetick female to cancer and a couple of month ago, we lost our old Plott gal to a simliar disease.

You really do get attached and I'm sorry for your loss- but happy you had the opporunity to get her back and she turned out for you! Here's to good times and great memories...
