? about sun spot lights

Ok I know the light threads are over done but i cant search the old threads cause sun is too short a word i guess. I am ready to buy a new cap light and I pretty sure its goin to be a sun spot.
Are they as bright as most the belt lights? I dont want to spend more than $250 and ive heard alot of good things. Thanks for any input.

I

like mine alot better than the belt light i had in summer coon seem to look good at it only fault i seen with mine is it throws such a wide spot that after a rain it wont cut thru the haze or light fog to shine top of big trees i have to use my backup light(a mag light)to get the top other than that awesome light. you may want to check out the Sunfire light instead suppose to have a tighter and brighter spot good guy to deal with got my light quick after i ordered it.

Mike you can find threads using 3 letter words.

Guys right underneath the box you type to search says:

Basic query: separate your search terms with spaces.

Advanced query: Join words with AND, OR and NOT to control your search in more detail.

Add asterisks (*) to use wild cards in your search (*bullet* matches vBulletin etc.)

Underneath that is a SEARCH OPTION box where you can narrow the scope of the search to certain sections as well as narrow down based on thread title or entire post.

If you were looking for reviews and discussion on the sunspots but you spell it as "sun", then type in sun* (notice the * after sun) in the top left box then below the search box, choose the UKC COONHOUNDS as the section to search and then choose the Search titles only.

The key to the forum SEARCH features is learning to use all the search feature tools. If you just type a word in the search box then you will come up with EVERY single section that contains the word you entered.

Narrowing down your searches to one section is key. You have eliminated all the sections that will bring no count threads up on what your looking for.

Using the "sun" example above, we just narrowed the search down to one section - the UKC Coonhounds section where most of the sunspot threads are in. By choosing the choose the Search titles only we have narrowed our search down further.

Use my "sun" example the way I did so you can see that you can search using 3 letter words and come up with result.s

I really appreciate all youre input. thank you all so much. I talked to michael and he is a top notch guy to deal with. im sticking with his lights. im bout 90% sold on the sunfire vs. the sunspot. Only concern is, is the spot too tight? does the tight spot make it hard to find coon in the summer time or thick stuff?

Mike i have both his lights, if i could only have one it would be the sunfire. It has a nice size spot and is very bright, about the size spot on the old 5100 heads, but much brighter.. In the winter with the leaves off i prefer the sunspot cause it instantly lights up the whole tree.
