understaffed at the ukc office?

For three days I've been trying to contact someone at registration and I get put on hold.after about 15 minutes I give up. How can a business be ran this way, are they that understaffed.

I have been tryin to get a transfer done since nov. Paul seems to be the only dependable one at Ukc. They should try to hire brandy from Pkc.

Just spoke with Brandy this morning, she answered on the second ring and business was taken care of in about 1 minute.

Not really understaffed right now? I thought Tanya showed us last week that transfers are only three days out? They are processing transfers today that they received on Friday? That's pretty good. Yes, when one comes in with a problem like lack of signature or something that significantly delays the process. Check things over good to make sure everything is in order is my advice.

As far as the phones, this is our busiest few months of the year in Registration. If we doubled the staff and incoming lines they would have to lay people off in two months. Rather than do that we have always tried to find a balance that allows us to answer as many calls as possible and yet still provide some stability to and for the staff.

One thing to remember is that you can also post your questions on the Registration Forum? Russell Smith answers them all daily and only looks like he's getting a half dozen or so per day? Not sure if your questions are such as you can write in for an answer but if they are, that's a good option.

I realize it's frustrating for you when that happens. It's frustrating for us also. We'll keep trying to improve the situation.

what about hiring temps to help with answering phones? at least there would be an answer and they could take a message and pass it on. are the ppl that are answering calls also the ones doing the work? if so, that would alleviate some workload. and its temps, so they know its a temp job and you wouldnt have to provide all the benefits of FT employee. just a thought.

ive never personaly had to contact ukc very much....almost all was done by mail..send it in and wait till it got back....in fact i cant say as i have EVER called that office. (pkc did call ME once but thats another story lol, and so did akc)


I dont forsee ever having to contact ukc, or be contacted for that matter...........but if i did, i sure as heck wouldnt want to talk to any temp employee....at least if there FT theres a chance they would know what the heck there talking about
