Knot

If you feel like its puss you have too gauge a sharp knife between fingers and poke it and mash it out retreat it as needed also about a cc of penicillin once a day for three days works for me

how long has it been? if its soft infection, get a needle around 22 gauge and insert and draw it out with syringe, slowly.
you can lance it a little and massage it out, also.
give the dog a antibiotic shot ''penicillin'' 2 cc or get pills from vet.

get antibiotic in dog, ither way or it'll get worse, staff infections can kill dog, the fella above told you right.

need to put needle on syringe and see if you can draw out infection, if not it could have gotten hard.
give it a shot of peniciillin 1 to 2 cc if you have any.
the only place to stick syringe or pin is in lump just enough to try and get it to drain out while massaging lump gentlely.

what bit her?

just pour in on there. if it was on the dogs foot you would just stick the dogs foot into a jar of the karosene ive seen it pull the venom out of a snake bite it will pull whatever is in there out. also iwouldnt be foolen with it poken it alot and stuff you could make it worse then that it is by doing that and by cutten it open if you do and dont try the karosene make sure to keep it clean it will probly take a while for it to heal up because of dead skin cells on the inside of the wound were the infection is.

Same happened to me a few yrs ago. Knot got much bigger. I stuck a big needle in it. Crap went everywhere. Was on a holiday weekend and all vets closed. Next day. I drained it again. Then next day went to vet. Gave me meds and lanced it. Told me to clean and drain as needed. Mines started as a small knot. Before I knew it. Her eye was swelled shut and knot as big as a basketball. Vet said one thing that made mine worse was. I gave her liquid pen a couple days. It knocked the infection down but didn't kill it. Then when you do that. The infection comes on 10 times stronger than before. Maybe yours want be that bad.

I bear hunt and this happens all the time.I give antibiotics ,pills amoxiccilen or penicillin .it should go away in few days. When this happens just wash the wound with water or something to keep flies of if it's that time of year.the best thing for you is pills 2 times a day for 8 to 10 days dont go sticking needles or cutting on your dog.

it could also be an abscess. you will have to treat from the inside, such as daily flushing the wound until it closes from the inside out. if, as you have found out, it closes on the outside, the infection can build on the inside. if cant pull w/ needle, then will have to do an I&D (incision and drainage). use saline and betadine (i think both available at walmart or medical pharamacy) and mix 50/50 in syringe w/o needle and flush it out...after you get all the pus out. u will have to get antibiotics for 7-10 days to take care of it. a few days will just piss the germs off!!
