PIAZON AND ALICE CROSS

YES I HAVE A FEMALE AT 8 MONTHS OLD PUT HER IN HER FIRST UKC HUNT . MADE FOUR CAST HAD 2 FIRST STRIKES AND ALL FOUR FIRST TREES, AND LOST THE CAST BECAUSE WHEN WE GOT TO THE LAST TREE ONE OF THE BABY COON FELL OUT OF TREE AND SHE HAD IT IN HER MOUTH SO I LOST TREE POINTS. THIS PUP HAS BEEN RUNNING ITS OWN COON SINCE SHE WAS FOUR MOUTHS OLD AN DOING A GOOD JOB AT IT. I ALSO OWNED A LITTER MATE FEMALE TO HER THAT WAS JUST AS GOOD AN STARTED AT THE SAME TIME. TREVER NOW OWNS HER. THESE WERE THE EASIEST PUPS I EVER STARTED IN MY LIFE. DANNY MIGHT KNOW WHERE THERE IS A PUP FORSALE. HE MAY EVEN HAVE ONE HIMSELF FOR SALE. PHONE 724 989 1513

Had Nat Thomas hunt mine all kill season and just got her back and took her out first time tonight, with a pretty nice older dog. First cut, she struck first, they both got hung up for awhile, then she lined it out and treed the coon. Second cut her and the older dog took tracks away from each other and got split treed about a half mile apart both with a coon. Pretty happy with her at least tonight!

Alice II

I have her here and she is real nice. Loves to split tree and have the coon. Opens according to how old the track is but when she cracks head and get's wooded, it's over. All 9 in this litter can tree thier own which is hard to find these days. All are independent as well. Hard straight up treedogs! Good cross!!

Ozzie

I sold Ozzie to a friend over in Pa. He was young and Ozzie was running and treeing his own coon when he left here. Travor called me last nite and he put his second 1st place win on him. He's been in thre hunts. second hunt they treed on 3 dens and never plussed a tree but Oz was treed off by himself after the hunt was over with a coon on the outside. The best thing, this young hound has not had a coon shot out to him since he was 10 months old! He just loves to tree and what a tree dog he is! Thanks Trevor for your efforts, Danny G.

I will be getting the Jack pup here to the kennel soon. Bob G been hunting him and I'm wanting to see what he is and how I like him. He hasn't been in a hunt yet so maybe it's time if he cuts the grade for me!!

Cold Run Blue Roxy
Roxy is off of the Pie X Alice cross and about 20 months old now. Very independent but has started to be smarter about that than a month or so ago. When Roxy trees you can be pretty sure there will be a coon seen! She is very good about not bogging down on a tough track, I dont know how she does it but she will cut and circle and get out there and and get it going again somewhere down the road.
She does not tree just to tree, she trees coons! Very hard going 55 pound get gone get tracking and get treed young gyp.She will strike 10 yards in the woods on an old feeder track and get treed in short order or she will strike mile in if she has to. She does not pass up tracks she runs what is in front of her!
Had a good male come in and back her on a tree the other night and she handled it well and the coon was there. That was the first time she has had a dog come into her and I wasnt sure what she would do. I was very happy with what I saw!
Roxy has been in the woods 62 times total and 56 of those by herself.
This Is one of the nicest hounds I have had in the 42 years that I have been coonhunting and I have had some nice coon treers in that stretch. If I needed to I would beg and plead with Mike to get another female off that cross! This One may get me to want to go to some hunts again! Ron Jackson

I got extremly busy with work and laid her up a few weeks and naturally she didn't look as good when I took her back out, though not bad by any means. Still never had her in a UKC hunt, though did run a couple PKC hunts with her, but the breaks didn't go our way. I'm sure later in the summer, my work load will diminish and I'll get her cranking again!
