? Bodacious pups owners ????

Bodacious is 9 going on 10 years and I would like to now which females worked so we can try and get one last litter. Please tell the good and bad about your pups. Also what female was there mother. If they didnt work , what was the problem you seen. There is always traits which show up time and time again. Maybe sharing those traits would help us make a good choice. We want to here the bad as much as the good. I have THICK SKIN.

Wesley and Jim

A BIG THUMBS UP

To Wesley Martin for this approach, not many stud owners ask for hunter,s to come on the message board and tell as much bad as they do good, this Attitude will certainly help propel our breed forward in striving for better blue dogs to walk behind and compete with, In my opinion this is a lesson for us all, it,s some times hard to do because we become emotionally attached combined with a lot of hard work, But our breed will be better for it in the long run, Thank you sir.....Gerald

I have a female out of the HOTR layup lady cross. Super nice track dog, fast fast fast, good mouth. Late starter but turning out to be a nice hound!

Some things I would like to know, are the males better or females. When they started did they progress quickly. Do they have any winding abilty. Do they tree on the tree or off. Are they a one person dog. Hard to break off of trash? Independent, go to hard, or any other traits.

Mr Martin, Not sure if you remember, but I met you a few years ago at AO in Indiana. At the time you showed me a picture of some young dogs that I belive were out of Bo with a bear in the pic being used on biggame out west. I just wondered if you new if they were still makin the grade as biggame dogs, and if so what female were they out of. Sory to get off topic of the thread, thanks for any info.

Mr. Martin

I own a female out of Bodacious X Hotr Layup Lucy she started real young she has been hunted most of the time by her self, when hunted with other she dont mind getting off to her self and treeing a coon alone and she doesnt mind treeing with other's either, She has tree'd coon 100 yds from the truck and she has tree'd coon at a mile, On cold track she dont say much ive had her tree coon without ever opening on the ground.
I do like her

I own a male pup out of Bodacious and Lathrops Blue Abby. Full brother to Spartan. My wife bought him for me from Jeff Kinsley two chistmas's ago. Very loud on track and tree. He is very cold nosed. This coon season he has treed 42 coons and three of them coons that had never been on the ground. He has went about 3 miles to tree a coon. There are times his nose is on the ground and also straight up in the air to tree a coon. There are nights he is fast on track and then there are some nights he is slow on track.

Video of Bender on the tree. When you put a leash on him he waits for the coon to be shot out, but does not stop treeing.
