It is 40 hours class room training in the state law enforcement school. Instructors from Georgia, Tennessee, and lawyers, and prosecutors, and other state humane officers, etc.,etc.....then you have to pass tests then a final test on law and a final on animal husbandry. Then you have to be appointed by municipalities after you are certified. Then you have to have 20 class room hours every two years to keep your certification. As far as search and seizure, It's just like anything else. Probable cause, get a warrant, etc. As far as trespassing goes, if there is an emergency or intimate danger or death you can enter.
