I myself got her as a pup at 12 weeks old, had her running and treeeing with old dogs at 5 months old and she would tree her own easy coon at about 6 1/2 months old.. Then I got busy at work and no time for her so I sold her...Let me know how she's doing, I was wondering where she was... and one other thing, have you figured out why I named her Hardwood Hook yet !!!!!!

If both dogs turn out this will probably be Hooks mate later this year. Hank has a 3rd towards his Nitech title and just waiting for hunts to start back up. Once He makes Nitech then I will turn more focus on Hook and hopefully get her there also.

grch nitech hardwood hook was a clover stud that produced hundreds of pups that were coondogs and ones that reproduced, i have a nitech male, Ole South's Stylish Fletch, that it is a great grand pup to hook. And i will be hunting him at walker days. I also have super nice 15 month old female that is also a great grand pup to hook that was sired by a different male, she will also be hunting at walker days. If anybody would like to see how the old line of hardwood hook's stock hunts feel free to call me and we'll hit the woods!!

I owned Sly Man and Kate. I owned Penny. Penny was one of the best coon hounds I have ever owned, cold nose, good mouth and had them coons when she treed. Kate was not as cold nosed and didnt have the mouth her mother had but was real accurate and treed about 130 barks a minute. Sly Man was one of the best all round hounds I ever hunted. I think Sly Man hunted for a truck one time but might be wrong about that. Sly was born at my buddies house and I hunted with him quite a bit. He was a little rough around the tree and was a bawl mouth tree dog, had a good mouth and started young. I have a dog now that I raised out of Kate and a wipeout male out of Moose and Big Mamma. One of the best hounds I have ever owned and will die at my house. I love this line of hounds. If anyone gets this female I would really like to keep in touch with them. Not many like this still around. Didnt mean to hack your post, just thought you might like a little info on this line of hounds.....Thanks,,,Roger

There are a lot of names that have been used over somewhere down the line. My daughters dog is Sundown Hank. There was a Watson's Sundown Hank many years ago.
