sport dog tek 1.0

I've tried finding reviews online, but haven't been to successful.

I'm just getting back into coon hunting, and I've found a sportdog tek 1.0 on ebay used for 200.

If I were to purchase a used astro and tri tronics trashbreaker I would easily be spending over 600. Is the difference really worth it?

Was wondering if any of you guys out there r using the tek, and your thoughts on the set up? It's gotta be better the. The old beeper systems.

I hunt with a tek 1.0 and really like it . It does not have a map card so you cannot see roads. Very easy to use.

tek 1

I have been useing one for quite a while and I love it !! Very simple - very accurate - very dependable !!! Battery life is longer than garmins , don't have to replace in the field etc. I hunt with garmin users all the time and I get just as good a range. The e-collar works great also. You just don;t have the maps , but you don't have to update on computer either , I haven't even had to calibrate mine in over a month.
