Sores from wood kennel floor

I have a wood kennel floor and my dogs are getting sores from it I believe. Is there something I could cover the floor in that can be sprayed regularly plus stop the sores. The back wall is raised 2 inches so the kennels get sprayed 2-3 times a week from the front out the back...

I have heard the horse stall mats work great but they get hot if they are in direct sunlight.

I have always heard that some of the chemicals in the treatment process was bad for animals. I have had dogs on oak wood floors for 30 plus years and have never had any problems at all. I know of others that have used treated wood, but I never would myself. JMO

I've heard mixed feelings on the treated wood deal too I think it's more so the way the dog lays on the wood he tucks his legs under and it rubs the fronts of his legs raw. I can take him out and out him on the dirty a couple days and it starts healing.

I know birds are different from dogs, but I have a freind who races pigeons for big money. He was winning alot. He built a new loft made of treated lumber. With in a year, he had a big decline in his wins. He had talked to someone about the treated lumber and was told the chemicals used to treat the wood would not affect the birds on the short term basis but if they was continually forced to stand or sit on the lumber that they could absorb certain chemicals thru their feey that was not healthy for the birds. Of course none of this is based on any facts that I know of, but he put the birds back into the old loft and guess what. Increased wins again.
