I put bread and maple syrup in mine. I break the bread into little peices and mix the syrup with it. Has always worked awesome for me. Just be careful tho I had a black bear come into a bucket and was eatin it. Stopped baiting that bucket for awhile haha. If I can find the sd card with those pics of the bear I'll put some on here.

Ever pet dog feed at the Dollar General works good here. Cheap and one bag will fill a 5 gallon bucket up. One 5 gallon bucket will last a week or longer.

I like to have a couple buckets filled when I'm trying to start a young dog!! I prefer a tire feeder that holds water and fill it with corn, water, sugar, and packs of kool-aid. If I use a bucket feeder, I use cheap dog feed and packs of kool-aid. They can smell the kool-aid from a long ways.
