Simple Green for me!
Moved to a place a couple years ago where the people before had raised little dogs in the garage and it STUNK! (Concrete floor) Locals said not to clean it with bleach because it would make the smell worse. They recommended Nolvasan (I think that's what it was) to disinfect and cut the smell, so we used a gallon jug on the whole place. It initially smelled good and helped a lot, but probably what helped most was having dogs that would always go outside to eliminate.
Then we raised some pups in the kennel that didn't always go outside, and bought an older dog this year that didn't either. It started to stink again and now that the kennels and everything was set-up, there was no way to hose it completely out like we had done at first. I spot cleaned with a bleach/water mix. Helped a little but not for very long, and the dogs hated the smell.
I made a mixture of water, white vinegar and lemon essential oil to use for spot cleaning, but it didn't reduce the smell as much as I wanted it to.
I'd always hated the smell of Simple Green but it's considered to be pretty "safe", so I bought a gallon. I mixed it with water in a spray bottle and started using that for spot cleaning and it totally killed the smell inside the garage. I haven't tried it for pressure washing or hosing out a large area, but I've got a 6 week old litter of pups in my living room right now and that's all I use to clean their pen. I'm sold on it!
