I treed at least a half dozen years ago with my dogs, did'nt whoop them, but they got bad on them. they could flat run them and tree'm. had to stop hunting the coast it got so bad.
it was a blast though, when them hounds were treeing out of control and them bear come down while trying to get lease on them. never will forget the night a guy wanted to buy a female and we treed 2 split, and bear came down without dogs leased, man that was a exciting night, and sam would'nt even go to split tree after i tackled dogs off another tree and the bear came down again.them finley rv hounds could flat out drive a bear, screaming at them.
i loved it though, cause i had been treeing bear hunting by myself, and no one believed me till after that night. i miss them days, that was when hunting was at its best, without all of these hunting regulations REAL EXCITING, SOMETIMES.

Bear

This past tuesday while pleasure hunting with a buddy of mine my male that is and english off from Main Street Jack treed a rather large bear alone. My freinds dogs won't "trash" but mine sure will as he has been used as a start dog in the past. Tramp could'nt hold it in the tree alone, we got up to the tree and down it came bark just a flyin. He bayed it on the ground and walked it for a while till we got him caught. The bear came right past me and blew at me to let me know how unhappy he was.

Next time. Get dog back up an get behind a tree. Blow your coon squaller. You wanna see something come down a tree in a hurry. Do it.

Went out last night with a buddy who was hunting his young plott and I was hunting my big young goofy redbone. Was looking to be a long fruitless night when the plott struck and my dog struck right after. they treed fairly quickly. We get to the tree and find a fairly good sized bear looking down at us. Sure was cool to see. Was a first for me and it was the first tree with something in it for my dad who was with us. Petted up the dogs up and called it a night. It was definitely something I won't forget.
