Take a look at their new Rugged Wear!!

The legendary nylon fabric, recognized by hunters for many years as Wick Outdoor Works, is available again! Handmade in Ohio, this series of apparel is designed to take quality protection to the next level!
This versatile jacket is dressy enough for casual wear and tough enough for the briar patch! You'll have ample room for arm movement with the raglan sleeve design. The fleece lining makes it the ideal lightweight jacket for warmer temperatures. The waist length design features 2 outside hand-warming pockets, 2 inside pockets with velcro closures, inserted ribbing cuffs, and a soft duck collar for comfort and style. This jacket is constructed with a heavy duty #10 YKK zipper, double stitching, and rivets at all stress points. Snaps and D-Rings are provided for the option of attachable hood and game bag. There is also plenty of room for a chest embroidery.

Made in the USA!

Stonecreek is owned by Wick's ex wife (if my memory is right). They use the same material as wick did.

Dont know about this Dans coat.

LOL, yes your memory is a little off. Linda Wick is in no relation to the Stone Creek folks. Kim is one of the owners of Stone Creek.

Back a few years ago, before they added it to the site, this is what Kim said concerning the rumor mill of them buying Wicks out:

quote:
I am getting in the material just like Wick used. I do not have it as of yet, expecting it any time. First things we will be making with this material will be chaps, jackets with hoods and jackets without hoods. I did not buy her patterns but these jackets and chaps will be made as closely to theirs as possible as they had the best clothing on the market as far as I am concerned. I also did not spend $30,000.00 on anything. I did get some of her things when she closed but not nearly that much. I also did not buy her out and go under a different name , Stone Creek Hounds and Hunting Supplies is our business that we have had for a while, just expanding . I would love to say I am the new owner of Wicks as they were top of the line. I just don't want any hard feelings between Linda or John Wick and ourself if they would get the wrong impression that I am stating that I bought them out. They are both very good friends of ours and that is important to us, and we want to keep it that way.

LOL. I guess when you hear the 10th version of a story, its bound to be different than the true version.

One thing I have always wondered is... why none of the jackets have underarm zip vents. Most of the high end ski or mountaineering jackets have underarm zip vents for fast cooling down and not overheating purpose. When wearing my Dan's coonhunting jacket, over half the time I end taking it off and carrying it out the woods because I overheated after arriving at the first tree. What do you think?

Quit hunting those Trackman dogs and hunt a Mojo. No need in running to those trees!

i've got a wick jacket like this one. i llike it but it usually doesn't get cold enough here on central coast of nc to wear it. i wish the pockets were such that you could put your hands into them better. as they are you have to go up and in and the rivet area is too high.
