You have to go back to the 70's and Mr. Nelson I believe. Met him in MI once at the Spring hunt. Dave

David was owned by Dennis McNeilus, he was from Buddy x Star (1/2 brother and sister cross off Mich Blue Rebel). I finished Buddy to GR NT for Dennis and we had Star down here for quite a while getting her ready for the hunts for Dave Nelson. When she went back North she walked through the hunts (extremely nice female)

Dave and Dennis would come down several times a year to go hunting, many times they would bring Jim Rosenwald. I got to hunt with David, Star, Buddy and Rebel a lot back then.........Tim

"David" sired my "Luke" by way of Junkyard Blu "Cindy" who was a direct daughter of the original "Jet" dog & a granddaughter of "Hammer V". "Luke" sired "Spanky" by way of Junkyard Blu "Peg". Own daughter of Germans "Shadow" & North Star "Bonnet.

"Spanky"... Don't really need'ta explain his impact, especially for some of us that been with these hounds since the oldin days & to this day maintain the same goals.

I hunted a littermate male to "David" for Denny & several outa him. "LOUD CLOUD" we called him.Had a female named "Susie" that was a littermate to my "Luke" that I put a butt load of time into. She was afraid of her own shadow when I got her. I made her a GrCh undefeated back when there was dawgs entered in events & became a pretty good coondawg. I tried & tried to buy her but he wouldn't let me have her. I was doin my share of promotin "David" just by haulin his kids. "Luke" was the first NtCh & first GrNtCh with "Ranger" gettin sloppy seconds. I also had a female outa "David" named "Shawn" that I made a dual Ch. Wes & I owned the advertising end for "David pups but he wouldn't part with "Suzie","Davids sister to me.

He GAVE her to a scum suckin Ice hole that kept her in a garage with two other dawgs & an occasional bag of dog food dropped among'um. Her & another dawg got killed & ait outa necessity. The lone survivor was a GrNtCh. To this day if I seen that guy in a wheel chair gaspin for ain with the oxygen hooked up I'd still beat the tar outa him!! Needless to say that ended my adveture with'um..

GrNtChGrCh Coon Creek Blue "Ranger" & GrNtChGrCh Russ' Treein Blue "Luke" Where probably a couple of the best outa him. Wes Blue & I raised them together & hunted them together a good share of their younger lives. Wes sold "Ranger" & unfortunately he more or less dissapeared once sold. I beleive he coulda made a positive impact on OUR breed if he woulda had the chance.

I hunted him at our state hunt one year for the chap that bought him from Wes. Entered him just before deadline to make a full cast of "GrNt's". Other three withdrew then they told me he wasn't eligable for the overall title since he wasn't gona have competition! Now tell me,is that pure chicken $h!t or what??

Bludawgs where bein takin pretty seriously by several cowards of the day but to each their own. I guess if you wana run scared aposed to seein what your needin thats all good. "Luke" & "Ranger" caused a lot of unrest especially when they was under two but we was just a eatin it up & our "PLAN".

Another story I could share bout "Luke" gettin his 2" double leather stitched collar ait off'n him by Deanwood Drifter but thats another day..


Apolagize for ramblin. Typin thumb feelin frisky I guess...........
