Have you all made any updates or downloaded anything on the ALPHA's?? What about the birds-eye, never used it on my Astro, always just liked the topo?? Have you ever had any trouble with the collar linking up?? I really love this new system and just hope they can find a way to make the extra collars more cost efficient but won't hold my breath on that one!!! Thanks to all who reply and give information.

the alpha is the first garmin ive owned very easy to use.i put birdseye on mine very nice just cant down load abig section but enough for where i go.no problem with the linking of collars.like you said wish they would come out with a cheaper collar.over all it is a great unit.

I updated mine this weekend for the first time with no problems.

Looked into the Birdseye but decided against it, topo works fine for me.
