United Way and the Humane Society
Does the United Way fund the Humane Society ? My work is asking me to do a weekly donation to the United Way , but I ain't given anything to the humane Society.

There should be a web site you can go to in your area to see where all the donations go to. Different areas of the country spend the money differently. In my area of Minnesota the last time I looked they gave to too many outfits I wouldn't give to so I won't donate a dime to the united way anymore. I pick and choose to whom I donate . I know you will be suprised where your donation will go.

I know they did when I was asked at work to donate and I refused.At the time they donated to other organizations I did not like.
Why give to a organization that skims heavily to cover operating costs?Give directly to the charities and you at least know were your donations are going and there is not a middleman with their fingers in the till.

donated to sal army at one time, until i found out the main operator of it got all the good stuff, that well off donated, and kept their grown child a place to stay with it, where it could be stored for yard sale twice a mth to pay rent and support drug life style. crooks!!!
