Question on AO win

I placed 6th at this years AO in registered division, does that earn me and 1st place win on my dog since its a national hunt or does it just count for a 6th place win?

Stupid

Thats crazy so I can go to some poorboy hunt with 12 dogs at it win my cast and get a 1st place win but when I go to AO spend hundreds of dollars and place 6th out of over 300 dogs I still only get a 6th place win?

Anyone in the top ten should get a first place win just due to the competition and it being a major hunt one of UKC's biggest hunts.

Very disappointed at this, but hey at least I got a trophy!!! LMAO

Thanks the hunt was great and I had a good time I just would have thought it would of counted for more. I'd still do it over for sure.

I went through the same thing 3 years ago I got 8th at walker days in Salisbury and all I got was 5 pts to wards degree L! What a joke but as long as 600 plus people go and enter ukc is not gonna change anything !!!! Ukc will make all the money ! It sure changed my outlook on the big hunts and you can bet t rehthat when I go to a big one now it's in a different kc!!!!!! Spend gas, hotel, entry etc... Do better than 294 dogs and all you get is a dust collector and 5 pts! Pkc is the place to be!!!!

whats the difference in the payout when you have 64 dogs in a hunt and 200 in one with pkc

It's not about recognition it's about ukc giving the hunter nothing back! As far as I'm concerned uks could ford to give the top 10 dog boxes, lites, trophy, dog food shocking systems,he'll that won't cost them anyway most of it is donated and they could actually buy it give it away and use it as a tax rite off,the six place nite ch gets nothing! The recognition is fine and it is nice to win don't get me wrong but really there is so many hunts today it's hard to remember who won first much less nobody cates who wins sixth! Not to take away from the accomplishment which is great but next week there will be another hunt and nobody will remember ! The bottom line in a world qualifier they give out 3 1 sts and 3 nite ch wins and there might only be 10 dogs in the hunt and you go win a big hunt in the top 10 like ao or walker days and you get a couple pts per pos you come in and a dust collector when it costs a lot of money to travel, hotel, eat, entry etc... I personally think ukc is being cheaper than they should be but they are never going to change along as all the numbers keep going up! Jmo
