Nite Hunt ??

Does the dog/dogs being entered in the hunt have to be on the grounds at the time of entry or can they enter a dog then stop at home and pick it up on the way to the woods? i asked 2 diferent MOH and got two different answers

They dont have to be on the grounds but they also have to be ready when the cast leaves and cant delay the cast or they can be scratched.

Only 1 reg. cast? He could enter both of his dogs, each with a separate handler. There would be no other way, less then 4 dogs there can only be 1 cast. If more then 4 dogs then dogs with the same owner should be split into different casts. He would of had the name of each of the handlers on the entry. Can't enter a dog without a handler.

not for sure

If the gentleman saying, as long as it does not delay the cast is correct. There in lies the problem. That would be left open to interpretation by each individual MOH. Of course any stop along the way to the woods is a delay. Did it give anyone an unfair advantage? Did it extend the cast beyond the point of making deadline? Did it adversely affect any cast member? Again, not sure of rule.

I wouldn't ask a Master of Hounds what time it is because you'd never find two that would agree.
