ot power attic fan

im no carpenter by no means i got to thinking if i could put a fan in the attic to draw some the heat out on these hot summer days i poked my head up in it to day man it was hot hot only trouble is i aint smart enough to figure how to put it in i have a hip roof it goes down to nothing on the sides if it had a gable roof on it i could do that easy but this hip roof got me stumped any ideas

I didnt know how to easily explain it so I found those videos figured they would be better than me trying to figure a way to explain it. lol

you be plum grazy by time you tryed to explain it to me i get a buddy of mine come over and see what he can do he always building something he will know how do put it in this idea just hit me last night thanks again

Another Idea

They make some really nice solar powered ones also. They have T-stats built in. That way you don't need to get the electrical power to your attic. I have installed several types. I'm an electrician and put them in on occasions....................Jon

thanks mr walz now im going to ask a really dumb question do they have a realy in them so they kick on and off depending on the outside temp like i said before i aint no carpenter that might be the way to go its going to be a rough job trying to run power out of my breaker box no room to get in the ouside wall i got a uncle thats done elec all his life but hes in his 70s wouldnt ask him to get up in that attic

70? Heck I'm 35 and cant stand crawling around in attics. Never a good time. The only time people want ceiling fans or attic fans installed is when its 100 degrees outside. Well guess what that attic is.......... As far as the solar attic fans that I've seen, they only have a thermostat on them. So if the attic temp doesn't reach say 90 deg they wont turn on. Not sure if that was was your question or not. Electric ones can come with a de-humidifier setting on em also. Some people like that..................Jon
