Question for you folks that have raised pups

Getting ready to register a litter out of my Performance sire.

As owner of the dam do I have to pay an extra $25 per pup to nominate the whole litter when I register or is it just an option and new owner pays the $25 per pup nomination fee? Just dont want to mess it up thanks

Fee....

You pay $25 to nominate the litter, then it's $25 for each pup, ( before 6 months old ) usually paid by the owner of each pup, unless you just want to pay it all yourself ( I wouldn't )

Yeah, the litter must be nominated by you for the $25. Then you have the option of either paying the $25 per pup also to nominate each pup, or the new owners can do it. Some breeders pay it for all the pups ($25 for litter + $25 per pup) to be sure they get nominated. I have seen many dogs that turned 2 and were not worth near as much just because they weren't nominated and/or Super Stakes (in PKC). Your decision will depend some on who you sell the pups to. If you sell them to competition hunters, they will usually pay the fees. If you sell them to dog traders or pleasure hunters, they may not.
