I have never had fleas in kennel
And now I have three litters of walker pups and the fleas are bad.
I treated the females and sprayed the kennel what do I use on the pups only 3 weeks old .

the warning on comfortis pills says it will make young pups quit nurseing or kill thier appetite.... thats why it says dont give to nurseing mothers and pups under 16 weeks old... they make a spray similar to adams you can spray pups with

My vet told me not to use any topicals, sprays, or comfortis. I even had to give her Heartguard for heartworms this time. Gave me a receipe for some shampoo that is working real good for me.

1 12oz bottle of Joy Dish Soap(not the ultra Joy, I got mine at $ store)
2 oz glycerin(get it a Walmart by the bandaids)
2 oz vinager

Mix in 1 gal jug and finish with water.

Fleas

If the pups are still nursing u can treat their momma with Frontline or Pet Armor and it will transfer to the pups since they are that young. It is right on the label safe for pregnate or lactating females. At 6wks we put .05cc (.5cc per 5 lbs) on each pup till 14wks then we start Comfortis.

Every litter i have had in hot weather had fleas. I starting using Avon skin so soft on the pups. No fleas. rubbed them down about once a week. Works great and never had any issues with it.

it worked for me, i asked my vet about it and he told me it would not hurt a thing to give it to the female and it worked out just fine no issues at all with the pups
