Strike Points

Here is one for some input on....

Should the strike points be so far apart..25-100
I understand wanting a jump dog thats high on my list of what I want in a dog. But is the 2nd dog to strike in any better than the 4th? I have seen on many hunts dogs that followed others around like they were glued to them, doing very little actual work get 2nd or so strike and another dog out hunting his rear off get 4th. How about making them closer like speed & drive? Or 100 for first and 75 each for next three??? This way a true jump dog would shine but the other dogs would not take a huge hit on points when struck in 4th. It would also stop the race to strike we see when one dog strikes and then all the others start joining in and it really turns into a game of who can talk fastest not who struck 2,3,4.... Just something for thought....
