Sackett Jr x Rock River Sal?

I am going to double up on this cross for my own use, can anyone tell me that knows the dogs from this cross what they liked?

If you have something negative to say please pm me.

I have really liked the ones I've seen and owned that were decendents from this cross.

I'd like one of the pup's--I heard it from a little birdy that Frank says that Sac Jr and Sal was one of his fav. crosses

MIKE...

WE HAVE HUNTED SACKETT JR X SAL HOUNDS FOR YEARS.

HERE'S A FEW PICS AND PEDIGREES. THEY ALL HAVE BEEN NICE SOLID HOUNDS, WITH BIG MOUTHS, THAT COULD WORK COLD TRACKS, AND TREEEEE DOGS.

AS LONG AS WE CAN HELP IT, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE HOUNDS WITH THE JR X SAL CROSS AS CLOSE AS WE CAN GET IT.

THIS DOG WAS THE 1ST JR X SAL DOG WE EVER HAD. SINCE HIM, IT'S WHAT WE'VE STUCK TO. YOU KNOW THE OLD SAYING "YOU STICK WITH WHAT WORKS."

WHAT DOGS ARE YOU CROSSING? WHEN WILL YOU MAKE THE CROSS? HOW MUCH FOR ONE?

AS YOU CAN SEE, WE ARE FIRM BELIEVERS IN THIS LINE OF DOGS, AND DONT WANT TO SEE IT DIE.

Jake

Frank has told me he liked this cross the best on Jay. My stud dog Jake is off Tell who is from that cross. Jake has everything I look for in a hound.

Thanks for the replies folks!

I have talked with several folks over the phone who are avid Jay fans, and promote Jay x Sal blood.

James Merchant told me it was one of the best "coondog" cross's he's ever seen, and the best cross off old Jay. NUFF SAID!

Ben, I'm sure thats one fine hound you have there. I would'nt mind seeing him go some day, or a pup out of him.

Christy, them are some good looking hounds, the picture of the Frank dog sure looks like a open spotted Rock River Blister. I am going to cross a Frank daughter on Blister, she goes back to Half Pint Patty on her mothers bottom side. I am very anxious to make this cross and watching her like a hawk.

Keep the picks and thought coming on the Sal dogs!

we were given a young male bout 2 weeks ago and the previous owner called us the other day to tell us that he found his papers. funny thing is that he is a half brother to the little female we have. both are grand pups to SackettXSal cross. both are out of a dog named Rock River Buster. he needs a little time but should make a good one.

Christy, I got your p.m.

Right now all the pups are spoken for if I have any left over I plan on keeping all the females, sorry.

This female out of Frank is a coondog she made NTCH at 9 months old she has 3 wins toward grand but I doubt I ever put her in another hunt.

Just plan on raising pups with her, I have a young Blister female that is something special, I hope to get a nice litter from this cross.

Nope, went last night and about killed my dog, not going again till the conditions are better. The Bears were lucky to get as far as they did.

Have you consulted with me about breeding that gyp yet? Blister is only at stud by private treaty ya know????.........

Does that mean his fee is free? I have a young dog here I could use for leverage if I had to.

Grant,

Is that the Klicker dog? He is a nice looking hound.

If so, Is there any pups on the ground out of him yet? Are you planning any line breeding with the two?

Drifter is a super nice looking dog as well.

Yes, that is the Klicker dog. I think Duane has a female or two lined up to breed to him, but nothing is bred or on the ground yet.

There is a guy in Wisconsin that owns a littermate to Klicker that has contacted me about breeding her to Drifter, but nothing has been done yet. Time will tell.

That should be a good cross, I would be interested in one of them if it ever happens. Have you given any thought into Super Staking Drifter?
