Police: Man Shocks Stepdaughter With Electric Shock Collar

POSTED: 10:11 am CDT October 12, 2005
UPDATED: 5:17 pm CDT October 12, 2005

JACKSON, Wis. -- A Washington County man is accused of using an electric shock collar on his 8-year-old stepdaughter.

Gerald Majeres, 34, of Jackson, was charged with felony child abuse.

A criminal complaint said Majeres attached the electric dog collar to his stepdaughter's leg and shocked her because she was eating her breakfast too slowly.

The girl told investigators she cried a lot because it hurt a lot.

A staff member at the girl's school noticed marks on the girl's thigh and contacted police and social services.

Police said the girl's mother threatened to wake up the stepfather if the girl didn't hurry with her breakfast.

The mother then did just that and the stepfather got out the electric collar, police said.

The girl's mother did not want to talk to 12 News, but she told police that her daughter is a liar, and that she nor the girl's birth father want her anymore.

The girl is now in foster care.

Majeres is scheduled to be back in court Oct. 17. He has been ordered to not have contact with the child.

I know of a guy who used a tracking collar on his wifes car. He knew she was cheatin on him while he was working second shift. He put the collar on her car and said he was going to work, but had taken the night off. He drove a couple of blocks away and waited for her to leave, said he waited quite some time for her to leave. He tracked her right to the guys house and saw them kissing. He said he let the air out of one of her tires and parked down the block. She came out later and started driving right toward him before she realized she had a flat and stopped. She went back and got her boyfriend to fix the tire, but instead of that the pissed off husband fixed him.

The parents who "don't want her anymore" should have to pay child support to the foster parents. They aslo deserve some jailtime!

I think a shock collar would fix alot of problems around the house. I know of a lot of wifes that could use one.

i've considered using a shock collar on my husband. i think males need more correction than females.
on a serious note i never thought i'd ever see where someone would even consider doing that.

15 yr brother

My 15 yr old brother just fliped the switch and he is really starting to crank. He has a lot of hunt in him. He got gone about a month ago at two in the morning, we found him about 1/2 mile down the road he must have got stuck in the girls bed room, after he crawled thru the window. I sure wish we had a tracking collar on him that night, but now we hang a tracker and e-collar on him. We are trying to put a little reverse in him, but like i said he sure has a lot of hunt in him. Parents could use the same equipment we use on the dogs if they were smart about it. My little brother only hunts out about 30 or 40 mins now and than he checks back in.
