What do you put under.......

Your dog box to keep it from sliding around in the back of your truck? My 1500 came with a bed liner when I bought it, but it is slick and my box slides back and forth when there is'nt a hound in it. I dont want to bolt it to the bed. With the bed liner I have no tie downs either. I was thinking some kind of rubber mat maybe.

I use one of those heavy duty 4' x 6' rubber stall mats for a barn, they weigh about 75 lbsand can also be put in the dog lot for the dog to lay on.

i use the ratchet type straps with rubber coated hooks and anchor the box from the handles to the holes for racks on the end of the bed.then put a 1x6 board across between the box and gate and pull it snug.

I have

a stip of wood I cut to fit at the bottom of the box in the front (tailgate end) to keep it from coming out that end with the gate down and on the other end I have two of the adjustible bars with rubber pads on the end you can buy at auto parts stores.

First get rid of that bedliner! lol Just kiddin'.. Most guys around here just build a wooden box frame out of 2 x 4's and place it between the box and the cab of the truck. You do not loose any storage space and it is very cheap to build.

Buy a rubber bed mat, they fit the truck bed and the box doesn't slide on it.
