Purina National Final Four Play by Play!
This afternoon while at the Purina Nationals one of the Committee Members suggested I do a play by play for their Late Round Cast. Sounded like a good idea to me other than we had not advertised any such thing and I couldn't really get away to make any such announcement. Nonetheless, for all you late nite hunters you're in for an unannounced treat. So kick back and enjoy this 90 minute hunt!
The winner of this cast pockets 2K courtesy of Nestle` Purina!
It's a star-studded field made up of:
GRNITECH Cowles Big River Jesse Lee, ENG, owned by Rory Cowles of Medora, IN handled by Jason Reisert
NGRNC WLDNITECH GRNITECH 'PR' Mr Clean, TW, owned by Bryan Whitted and Michael Thomas of Huntington, IN
GRCH GRNITECH 'PR' Hailes Red River, ENG, owned by Jody and Penny Jessup of London, KY handled by Jody Jessup
NGRNC GRNITECH 'PR' Hannas Creek Feelin' Frisky, TW, owned by Jody Jessup and Bryan Whitted of Rural Hall, NC handled by Rick Stretch
The cast left the fairgrounds at 1:30 am. Paul Fredrick is multitasking tonight serving as guide and relaying the play by play from the woods.
The judges are: Tim Whitaker of Indiana and Chris Waller of Illinois.
Purina Reps David Gardin and Darrell Brown are serving as Master of Hounds and are also out with the cast, but staying at the trucks.
Temps right now are right around the 60 degree mark after a beautiful sunny day in Flora. However, rain moved in keeping many of the hunters under roof for an hour or so until it cleared out. After that it turned out to be a good night for a hunt.
Ok, hunt is on! Start the 90 minute clock.
Action!
Clean is struck first for 100.
Jesse struck for 75.
Frisky struck for 50.

Reports are that Jesse is deep, deep. Nothing on Frisky right now. Nonetheless, the wow-factor is alive in this cast with plenty of good action as one might have anticipated.

``
Another coon! Plus up Frisky, Red and Clean. No strike points for Clean as he was shut out on this tree.
``
Eight is running on Jesse while Frisky, Red and Clean are being held on leash.
``
Boy things aren’t going so good for Jesse and Reisert. Reports are the eight can still get Jesse but would only leave a matter of several ticks on the hunt clock.
``
The eight got Jesse and the Inaugural Purina National Championship is now in the history books. I'm still waiting for a final report to make sure my scores line up with those on the official scorecard.
I must say I was not prepared for this so was taking notes while trying to keep this post updated at the same time. By my calculations I have:
(never mind, better wait a minute to be sure)
