I just pour a capful down their back every 30 days. This will be the 4th year that I've done it without a problem.
I still hunt the 2 dogs that I had 4 years ago. No side effects at all.
But if you notice them acting likes it's burning them within the first 10 minutes or so they need to be washed Immediately with Dawn TWICE to get it off their skin.
Only heard of one dog that happened to though.

Works like a charm I have even put it on cats (note one cat had a seizure out of maybe 10 treated ) I have used a lil on pups works like a charm you can usually find generic that is cheaper just compare active ingrediants its a big money saver but remember this doesnt protect from ticks

Don't know how true but read on gundog site or a link from there that the formula has been changed and fertilizer is added which could cause problems with dogs skin, Would be alright if you found some of the older formula. An alternative would be foodgrade diamtocous {sp}?earth just put some in thier feed also good for worming and other parasites. JMHO

walmart, tractor supply, lowes, i use garden and flower, it is little weaker than tree an scrub brand but works good, and has no fertilizer. same as frontline. u can mix it with the stuff that starts with P THAT IS SOLD AT tractor supply an is same as advantage. $12 a gallon, its weak an works good, delute with vinegar also helps fight fleas to.

Its for flowers and gardens! What is it an insecticide? I worked several years in the Alabama farmers coop and never heard of this stuff.

Flea Treatment

I too have used Bayer Tree and Shrub for a number of years now. But, when it changed formula and added slow release fertilizer...I did switch brands. Found Ortho Tree and Shrub about the same price at Lowe's.

Here is a thread that's been around here for years:
http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthrea...highlight=fleas admire&pagenumber=1

Lots of folks have varying opinions, but i use it and have had success with it! DEfinitely cheaper than frontline for a kennel full of hounds.

Hope this is helpful!

I don't worry one bit about the fertilizer. It is a 2-1-1. I spread 10-10-10 by hand and get it in my boots all day. I don't know why they put it in there not enough fertilizer in it to make a turnip.
