We will be having a benefit event at the Jackson County Coon Club here in Sylva on March 31, 2012. I know this is short notice, but it just came about this weekend.

From Franklin, NC/Atlanta GA/Clayton GA, take 441 north to 74 east in Dillsboro. Go to mile marker 87 and turn left at Freeman Gas onto Mineral Springs Rd. Go 1/2 mi. and turn at recycling center.

From Waynesville NC take 74 west to mile marker 88. Turn right onto Mineral Springs Rd.

The benefit will be for Rick Berry who is a good friend of ours who has cancer. It is growing around his heart and lungs and is inoperable. The Dr's are treating it with chemo and radiation hoping to shrink it some.

Rick is a long time friend of ours and a good man. He was Quincy's crew leader at work.

We will be starting the event at 10:00am with a Turkey Shoot! Each shot will cost $3.00. Ten shots per round, payout per round will be $10.00. It will end at 2pm.

We will be having field trial events starting around 3pm. We will be having a (UNSANCTIONED) bench show, treeing competition, roll cage, and buddy hunt.

We will also be having an auction as well. Anything that can be donated to auction/raffle would be greatly appreciated.

ALL STUD FEES WILL BE AUCTIONED ONLINE FIRST AND IF NOT BOUGHT THERE THEY WILL CARRY OVER TO THE AUCTION. AS SOON AS STUD FEE IS POSTED IT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR BIDS.

ALL stud fees will be good for one year from the Auction. Since the auction is on March 31, we will say ALL stud fees have to be used on or before April 1, 2013. UNLESS agreed upon by the high bidder and the stud owner and that will be totally up to them!!!

TWO WAYS TO BID! Visible which lists your name or silent witch does not.

Online stud fee auction will end at 12:00 noon on Friday March 30. All money will need to be received by Friday April 6 so we compile everything and take it to Rick.

If you just want to donate money, that would be wonderful. Anything we can do to help this wonderful man out will be a god send.

We will be having a big dinner as well. As we work out the details, I will post them.

It will be held at the Jackson County Coon Club located at on Mineral springs road in Sylva, NC 28779. If your GPS will bring you to that road, signs will be posted!

I hope several people will be able to attend, because we are going to be having events all day for Rick!
