Cocky ain't the word lol..I have trapped shot and ran yotes as close as 50yrds from large populated towns..you can't get rid of em..we hunt them trap em guys run hounds on em and they just keep coming..the best thing to do is learn to put up with em..I don't run 1 dog alone and I put a bell on all my dogs if hunting just to try to keep them away..good luck

just start coyote hunting...

its fun.. i go during the day... set up on a nice open field, with a e-caller box and a coontail on a rod...... i just sit out about 1000 yards from it with my 223 and wait. i usally get at least one on every other setup or so.... they sneaky when your actually tryin to hunt them. they neevr bothered my dogs, but i run bigger sized hounds so its neevr been an issue for me. But i could see mabey a pup gettin into some trouble late in the winter when there hungry or in the spring when they havin younguns

Thats why I run the blinking lights on my dogs. When the dogs tree, you can actually hear the coyotes yodeling as they head in. The lights are supposed to keep them from coming in.
