Garmin Map Cards

Is there a differance in map cards that are being sold? Does one have more info like private road, driveways, smaller creeks, etc. than others?

yes!
Go to gpsdepot.com and you will see some of the different maps and the amount of detail available. You can download and make your own map cards from there.

This is what I have done, takes some practice but when you figure it all out it's pretty nice. Most of the maps on there have more detail than the ones you buy from garmin. If you have any problems with downloading their maps they have a forum on there and I have found all the answers I needed by just reading through the forum.

Thanks for the info. I have had my garmin and map card for 3 years. I dont have a clue what map card I have. It shows public roads and highways... but I want to see more private roads and logging roads. Some of my hunting spots has roads more than a mile long that dont show on my map. And the roads have been there for over 15 years.

Hey Kevin
Just spoke with you and I would have told you that I use this guy for my maps. I can't be bothered doing my own when I am still on dial up and I really don't know what I am doing . He's good, relable and fast enough.
