My youngest son wanted to trap a beaver and otter this year. Both of his older brothers have already caught several beavers and each an otter.



This is a picture of Jacob setting one of his beaver sets.



This is a picture of a cross-over set that he said we had to make. As you can see the beaver have been feeding quite a bit in this little back water.



This is Jacob pulling up his first beaver from a castor mound set.



Jacob's 1st beaver. It is actually larger than it looks. He complained it was too heavy to lift any higher. Of course we just finished carrying him out. Yes, he helped carry it.

Now he says, "now it is time to get an otter dad."

wish he was down here to show me how to set traps for em i dont have a clue and they have damed up my creeks bad and stopped the water flow

Thanks guys, yes I am proud of my sons. They are actually pretty good about listening to adults and following directions. They do love the great outdoors just like their ole man.

Well, Jacob got his 2nd beaver today. We got 2 large beaver so we pulled his 3 sets. Jacob said he wanted to use his first two beaver to make a beaver hat and gloves just like his older brothers.
