Bx-25

Only shot a couple hundred rounds through mine but I like it better than Butler Creeks Hotlips clips alot more solid and can take it apart to clean it. No jams so far.

spend the extra money and get the better clip.I have two of them and one jamms often because its wore out and rarely have problems with the other. love my 25 round clip use it as an M4 style grip it steadies alot better than holding the stock

I bought a Alangator TriMag last year for it. It holds three 10 round clips in a triangle. 30 rounds on the gun, ready to go.
You can buy them on ebay.

I carry it in my pocket until needed. I never walk thru the woods with the clips in the gun, unless I'm at the tree. Years ago I did a header. the ruger hit so hard on the butt that it loaded itself and ejected the clip all at the same time. Lesson learned for me.

I've got one of the ruger 25 round factory magazines and all it wants to do is jam up. tried different shells and yes they were long rifles, not longs and it still doesnt change anything. the red follower inside catches on the sides and if you smack it, then the follower will tighten up on the shell. tried different lubes, dry lubes, no lube. stretched out follower spring, smoothed side channels.I eventually gave up and went back to the 10 round rotary mags. i had high hopes for it being it came from ruger, but it isnt anybetter than the aftermarket ones that have been out for years.I could have bought 2 new, 10 round mags for the price of that piece of junk. JMO!!!! By the way, these are called magazines, not clips. M1 grands used in the military, used clips. the clip was the twang that you heard and flew out after all the shells were shot.

the 25rd and 30 rd clips i have are made by ram-line,havent had any trouble with them.

use my ruger mark II pistol with a shoulder holster mainly anymore,

dont have to worry about it hanging on brairs/tree limbs when crawing thru crabapple thickets and multiflori rose to get to the dogs....

you can get a bolt on bracket like i got on my pistol and the bracket i got on the flashlight had the big thumbscrews on them .it has a big thumbscrew on the other side where i take the light and bracket off the bracket on the pistol barrell ..
you can get these off ebay or your local gun shop and rig your rifle up ..i carry the 210 lumens police light in my pocket and just pop it on if i dont have anyone to shine their light on the coon,,the flashlight has low/bright/flashing on it,,
will light the tree up like daylight,if thats not enugh light ,i also have a 500 lumens light with a bracket on it too..

heres my setup

If someones with you I usually turn my light off and let the other do the shining. You can see the coon without your light on thru the scope. Alone I use a spot light in my hand out in front of the scope along the forearm.
I carry two 10 round clips for the 10-22 in my pocket. Michigan law says we can only load the gun at the point of kill at night. Usually got the gun upside down across my back on a sling.
